Chelsea are the only team in the Barclays Premier League era to boast an overall winning record against Manchester United.
Their success against the league's dominant team dates back to before their own title-winning exploits, with Gavin Peacock netting the only goal in a pair of 1-0 victories in the 1993/94 season - two of the four matches that Sir Alex Ferguson's champions lost throughout the campaign.
United have not won in four attempts against Chelsea since Javier Hernandez secured a 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge in October 2012, a match that the hosts finished with nine men after Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres were sent off.
Chelsea manager Mourinho is yet to taste defeat in 13 meetings with Man Utd in all competitions during his time in England and his first Barclays Premier League match as manager at Stamford Bridge was a 1-0 victory against United in August 2004.
